  • SUMMARY OF INVICTUS




Invictus is a poem written by William Ernest Henry in 1875. The poem speaks about the power of human well and the strength to overcome adversity. the title "Invictus" means "Undefeated" in Latin.
                  The poem is divided in to four stanzas, each containing four lines.

First stanza :-   

the speaker talked about how life can be full of challenges and difficulties , but he is face then with courage and determination. He say that his head if bloodied but Unbowed or still.

Second stanza :-
  told that importance of having a strong will and a clear mind.
The speaker talks about how ,even in the darkest moments, he has not cried for help. The knowledge is the master of his own fate and the captain of his own sole.
Third stanza :-
The speaker express his faith in himself and his own abilities. He says that he douse not fear the future because he know that he has the strength and determination to overcome any obstacles. He is confident that will emerge victories , no matter what.

Fourth stanza :-  

Concludes the poem when a message of courage and triumph. The speaker declared that he is the master of his fate and the captain of his soul . he says that nonmatter what life may bring , he will never give up. He will always rise above the challenges and difficulties that he may face.
